Well, there it is. The big news! Baby number six is coming in May! Six kids in seven years! Never did I imagine this is how the story would write after eight years of infertility and loss. I guess we are living proof that nothing is impossible with God, absolutely nothing. His plan is perfect, His providence is generous and His grace is always enough.
We are all very excited and as soon as we told our kids the next day the entire school knew. They were bursting at the seams to share the gift of new life. So much, that Baby has its own placement, an ultrasound picture on the 5th grade bulletin board right next to St. John Paul II and is prayed for daily.
The guessing game of whether Baby is a boy or girl has already begun and between Grace and Caden they are judging frequently whether I am carrying high or low. They both have agreed that no matter the gender they will still hold and love the baby. Grace assesses the growth of my belly multiple times a day, measuring with her hands and is excited to finally see a large bump appear.
When I was 10 weeks Ethan calculated how many hours, minutes and seconds I had left of being pregnant. The numbers were a bit daunting, being I was still feeling miserably sick at that point. Caden doesn’t miss a beat, every night he prays for the Baby’s heart and so it’s healthy.
Of course, everyone has started contributing to name suggestions. Lets just say lots of baseball and football players are making the list for them with some occasional saints.
I guess you could say this pregnancy contributed to my absence here on the blog for a few months while I battled morning sickness, more like all day sickness.
Happy Advent!

I popped on to catch up on blogs and was so happy to see this news! Interestingly, we are good friends with your husband’s brother Nate and his family but i started reading your blog before i knew that connection when i was looking for stories about families grown through napro and adoption.
