Our baby girl made her arrival into the world on Monday, October 7 at 3:17am. Born on the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary, Briella Marie-Rose has stolen our hearts and her siblings are completely smitten with her. She is named after the Archangel St. Gabriel, meaning God is my strength. I was scheduled to be induced at 41 weeks, Monday morning at 7:30am, but I was really hoping to avoid an induction knowing it increases risk being a VBAC. So I was incredibly excited when I had contractions for 3 hours on Saturday and extremely disappointed when they all of a sudden stopped. Fast forward to 5:00am Sunday morning ... view the post
Waiting on Baby
Here we are 39 weeks and 6 days, wondering when this precious girl will make her debut. Some days I think it may be easier if I just stay pregnant. Feeling a little nervous about having 5 kiddos and trying to be present to each one especially between 4:00-6:00pm. And some days I feel like I will be pregnant forever, the reality of a new little one joining us has not fully set in. I am not sure who is more anxious and impatient for the arrival, me or the kids. It is such a gift to see their excitement as they await their new sibling, who is already loved dearly by each one of them. We are going to be drawing names ... view the post
So Long Summer
Chugging the caffeine today as I stayed up way too late finalizing last minute school details, tucking notes in their lunch boxes and waking up crazy early to make their favorite breakfast while still trying to snap a few pictures before getting everyone out the door on time. It is here, the start of a new school year. I am definitely not ready for it this year, besides it meaning that I am closer to meeting our sweet little one. Not sure if it is pregnancy emotions getting the best of me or just realizing how fast time goes, but I was not wanting to say good bye to them this morning, longing for more time ... view the post
Surprise!
It is hard to believe that in just three months this little one will be making its arrival and yet on the other hand three more months of being pregnant seems like an eternity. Honestly, how much bigger can I get. Being the planner (and impatient one) I always like to know the gender ahead of time while Aaron prefers to wait it out until delivery day. We found out with Grace and waited with Caden although, we both had a really good hunch that it was a boy. After an extremely long winter and feeling knocked down by the first trimester I really wanted to find out the gender with this baby. Not to mention to prep ... view the post
Welcome Summer!
Oh summer how we have waited so long for your arrival, suffering through months of endless cold and snow in what seemed like a never ending winter. School is out and with a couple of days of 80 degrees we have packed in as much as possible trying to already squeeze every last drop out of these summer days. I have a feeling this summer will leave me feeling exhausted and refreshed all at the same time. Complete with lots of memories and carefree timelessness spent with the ones I love. In just two days we have managed to play at a favorite park, enjoy a bike ride, sit out in the sun playing board games on the ... view the post
