(source) Happy and Joyous Easter! He is Risen, Alleluia!! Over at Catholic Mom today writing about the hope that the Resurrection brings. After every Good Friday we are met with Easter Sunday. No matter the cross, no matter the struggle. Every cross carried will someday be lifted, someday made glorious. It may not be in three days, in three years or even in our lifetime. But the hope is real, the promise is ours! ... view the post
Slowing Down
(source) We are in the final days of Holy Week before the great celebration of Easter. My to do list seems to be growing as I try to scurry around to get things done before our Easter travels. The laundry pile is multiplying in size despite my efforts to divide and conquer and bunnies with the first name of dust are making their way across my furniture. Still I find myself saying slow down. The words continue to play on my heart. The days are short. Live out this season as it is. Sit at Jesus' feet and listen. Be present to wipe Christ's face on the road to Calvary. Console His grieving heart. Be the strength to ... view the post
Filling the Baskets
(source) It seems Easter is creeping up on us this year, for me in part due to the cold non-spring, non-Easter like weather. Feels like I should be getting ready to stuff Christmas stockings rather than fill Easter baskets. I finalized the purchases last week, complete with copious amounts of candy. Still, Like a Lion
Hear her roar! 1. My hopes of March leaving us peacefully as a lamb may not come to fruition. Looks like we will be wearing winter coats and hats to Easter Mass and may even be having an egg hunt in the snow. Spring, where art thou? 2. Not sure about you, but it seems Lent has flown by this year, then again time has in general. Only 10 days out and counting. One of my focuses for Lent was to find balance, while I was able to do that in most areas of my life I have come to the realization that getting sleep will never be accomplished. We are in a permanent sleep regression, which only continues to regress. I ... view the post
In the Books
An inside look at what has been sitting on my night stand these last few weeks. Most of the content is spiritual since that was a focus of mine during Lent and then of course some design inspiration for my constant aspiring home makeover mind. Here is what I have been reading. 1. Stop Worrying and Start Living by Gary Zimak. I tend to be a worrier by nature and it is something I need to constantly work on. Letting go of anxiety over the unknown and unforeseen and trusting in an all loving God and in His loving providence that wills the best for me. This book contains short daily reflections that are easy to ... view the post
