We had Church pictures this weekend, so he was dressed for the occasion. How is my baby six months old already?! You know what that means, in no time he will be walking and turning one...make the time slow down! I realize I have said that with every child's birthday, but it continues to hold true. I just want to press pause and stay in these moments and savor each memory. Caden is our calm, content, easy going number four. Lots of dark hair, big brown eyes and topping the growth charts. Only six pounds to go until he catches up to Grace. Gone are the nights of sleeping through and the days are now filled with lots ... view the post
Like a Lion
(source) 1. March greeted us like a lion roaring loudly. Just when I thought spring had sprung we got dumped on with a snow storm Tuesday. School got called off and everything. Now looking forward to it melting and hoping it was the last for the season. Hoping the saying holds true and March will bid farewell like a lamb just in time for Easter. 2. A friend shared this recipe with me after I saw her son thoroughly enjoying his green snack. He wasn't celebrating St. Patrick's day yet either. I am going to give these spinach, banana, oatmeal muffins a try this weekend and see if my taste testers approve. 3. In ... view the post
We Are Being Watched
This past Saturday Aaron was away at a conference, so I decided to venture out for the day with all four kiddos in tow. I wasn't sure how the events of the day would unfold or how everyone would hold up. Started with making pancakes from scratch, getting the kids fed, the little ones changed, the baby nursed, myself ready and out the door in time for Saturday morning Confession. We were off to a great start. I was nervous about attempting Confession flying solo with all the kids, but we made it through the line and managed to be a minimal distraction to those waiting. Next stop the library and then out for ... view the post
Dressing My Littles
With Caden's crazy growth spurts and Kolbe's ridiculous long legs, making every pair of pants high waters only weeks after buying them I feel like I am constantly needing to buy clothes for the kiddos. In addition to looking for good sales, waiting for 50% off and hitting up the local children's second hand store I am a thrifting on ThredUP. Bonus, I don't even have to leave my house! ThredUP is the largest online thrift and consignment store, featuring brand name, like new women and children's clothing. Some of the brands we have loved are GAP, Gymboree, Janie and Jack, OshKosh, LOFT and Under Armour. The best ... view the post
Lenten Latest
He is giving up sleeping through the night for Lent and opting to be a daytime dreamer. 1. In recent news I have become an official contributor for Catholic Mom. I will be adding content to their site once a month. I am excited to be able to write and share my heart with moms! Hopefully by God's grace, offering some inspiration, encouragement and laughter as we all do this motherhood thing together. 2. Lent. Kolbe and Ethan are already asking how many days we have left and are quick to remind me of the homily last week about giving up coffee. They don't realize the sacrifice in just having one cup. As I wrote about ... view the post
