The last few days have been filled with a lot of fun, games and sugar. We attended an All Saint's Day Party yesterday in preparation for tomorrow, carved pumpkins and went trick-or-treating today. I am not very creative in the costume department, but they don't seem to mind a bit especially when candy is involved. My holy saints, St. Hubert, St George and St. Therese the Little Flower. Well, St. Therese was busy praying and working miracles. Despite the Packer's loss yesterday, Ethan was still set on being Eddie Lacy. Probably should have stuffed a pillow in his shirt to give him some extra bulk. I guess it ... view the post
Golden Days
We have thoroughly been enjoying Fall, especially my fair dose of pumpkin creamer, pumpkin butter, pumpkin biscuits and anything else I can find in the store. Apple picking, pumpkin festivals, corn mazes, playing in the leaves, campfires and walks just to take in the beautiful colors. As we walked a wooded trail the boys stood beneath the trees watching the leaves fall. "Look mom, it's snowing leaves!" Their eyes full of joy as the held their arms out trying to catch them. Raising Boys
A few weeks ago we attended a pumpkin festival in a small quaint town, beautiful trees lined the water as we watched the boats come in. As we made our way out on the long dock, lined with large rocks to get a better view the boys decided they want to jump the rocks. There were small crevices between most of the rocks, but big enough that my little men could slip through and into the water. Being protective mom I immediately told them no. Aaron on the other hand said, "let them be boys". Of course my peanut gallery chimed in, "come on mom, we will be fine, don't worry so much." I closed my eyes and walked at a quick ... view the post
Teeth, Apples and Baseball
1. Excited for this weekend we have family in town and we plan on hitting up every fall festivity with all the kiddos. Eleven people under one roof in our cozy home, may be crazy but absolutely love it! 2. We went apple picking and the boys were so excited, because they could eat as many apples as they wanted. I think by number 6 they had their fill and probably did not want to see another apple in their life! Per usual I ended up doing most of the picking. Now on to apple pies and all things apple. 3. We have a tooth!! Finally, 9 1/2 months and Grace's first little tooth is showing through. With her ... view the post
Remembering
If you are on facebook you may have seen similar pictures as the one above posted and shared over the last few weeks. Several years ago this wasn't the case. In 1988 Ronald Reagan declared October as pregnancy and infant loss awareness month and it seems that finally awareness happening. Women are opening up, receiving healing, finding support and recognizing that their grief is real as so many have suffered alone and in silence. I have always written about miscarriage prior to having children, so it may appear like I have forgotten or am over it now that my arms are full with my three littles. It couldn't be ... view the post
