...or lack there of! I haven't abandoned this part of the online world and apologize for my almost month absence. It's amazing how fast the day goes, before I know it I am scrambling to make dinner and getting the boys ready for bed. Four months into life with 3 kiddos and I am still trying to get into a routine and find a rhythm to our day. I am also realizing part of it is just life with children, always the unexpected and never a dull moment! Still green to motherhood having only been on the job for 16 months I am learning a lot. Learning a lot about myself and learning how much I admire all of you moms ... view the post
Blessed by Strangers
Today after Mass our family decided to go out for brunch. Something we rarely due unless for a special occasion or if our fridge is in need of a desperate trip to the grocery store, which happened to be the case today. Nothing was out of the ordinary. The ma and pa diner was packed as it usually is on a Sunday morning. A restaurant we have been to many times, but this time was different. We were seated at a small table in the back, just the perfect fit for our family of five. We ordered our food, ate, laughed and conversed among ourselves. As the waitress began to clear our plates she said, your check is taken ... view the post
Thrifting
With the addition of number three and the cost of baby clothes I have been looking for ways to save a little money. I have never been one to buy clothes full price and even more so when it comes to children's clothing as they out grow it so quickly and in the case of my boys, almost every pair of pants ends with holes in the knees. Last spring I even hit up some yard sales for the first time in my life in search of some clothing for the boys. I am no expert on coupon cutting or thrifting, but I like to share the little knowledge I have in case it may help you save a few dollars as well. Earlier this month I made my ... view the post
The Hope of Easter
This week quickly got away from me as three of the five of us were hit with head colds, mine of course being the worse complete with the chills and body aches. Thanking God though that little Grace has managed to stay healthy so far, praying it continues! Squeezing this post in while we are still in the Easter Octave, still celebrating like it's Easter Sunday! As I sat at Good Friday service this year and reflected on Christ's great passion and death suffered for me we were asked to think of our own crosses. The small and the large, the daily inconveniences to the heavy burdens. The ones that seem to come and go ... view the post
Learning to Be
I am the kind of person who always seems to be on a mission. From list making, planning, and doing. To constantly thinking of the next thing I think I need to accomplish. I guess I can partly blame my personality, yet I cannot use it as an excuse to not seek the change and balance I know I need in my life. In college I had people tell me they thought that I was stuck up until they got to know me, because when I walked to class I didn't stop to chit-chat. I was always on a mission to get somewhere, set out to do what needed to be done. Unfortunately, it also meant not taking the time to just be. Whether stopping to ... view the post
