Trying to keep up with all the funny and heart warming things these two kiddos say! Hope you don't mind me sharing them with you, it's one way I make sure they get written down. I was having a few pregnancy brain moments. Kolbe: Oh mom you are so delirious. Talking about fun things they can do with their baby sister. Ethan: I am going to play dodge ball with baby sis! K: When I go to heaven I want baby sister to go to heaven too. I think her guardian angel can carry her. Asking Ethan to go tell Aaron supper is ready. E: He knows the food is ready, you don't need to tell him again. After returning ... view the post
When You Homeschool
It's hard to believe that we are already 7 weeks into the school year. For me it has definitely flown by! So far there hasn't been a day where I have felt inconvenienced by the fact that I am the teacher or regretted our decision. Although some days I find myself praying that I am doing a good enough job. I also have become very grateful for step by step lessons especially for phonics and reading. There is no doubt in our decision in not sending Kolbe to a traditional school this year. I find peace in knowing that this is definitely the best fit for our family, even on the hard days. It is such a privilege to be ... view the post
Prayers Answered!
As of Monday I was officially taken off of bed rest!! Praise God!! Thank you for all of the prayers!! I had my official 20 week ultrasound last Friday which showed the placental abruption had healed!! While I was hopeful going into the appointment I didn't necessarily expect that it would heal that quickly. Although I knew it had begun the healing process based on my previous ultrasound. Part of me had succumb to the fact that I could possibly be on bed rest until I delivered our baby girl. Such relief, freedom and joy to find out that is not the case. I realize it's not a medical miracle, but in our book we ... view the post
Gender Reveal
We didn't do anything pinterest worthy, make any fancy cake or throw a party. It was just the four of us around the dinner table, nonetheless just as exciting (besides that the ultrasound tech already clued me in)! I originally was hoping to be off bed rest by this point in the pregnancy and thought I would be able to do something a bit more creative for the gender reveal. Still on bed rest and life's curves have proven me otherwise. The boys were asking almost every day last week if we could open the envelope and find out the gender. I think Aaron may have wanted to keep the suspense a little longer, but ... view the post
20 Weeks!
Half way there!! I can't believe we have made it to 20 weeks! It's also crazy to think that half of my pregnancy has been on bed rest, going on 10 weeks. After so many years of struggling with infertility I had let go of the idea and accepted the reality that I would probably never give birth to a child. Yet here we are. Baby is healthy and growing, we are picking out names and thinking of getting the room ready. Don't be deceived, the bump is larger than it appears. I am finding myself trying to online shop for a few maternity items as I watch my bump grow and my body change. Which in all honesty is a little ... view the post
