So this may turn into a regular series, because the things they say are just too hilarious and heart warming not to share! I am also in awe of how well they are catching onto English. It is so neat to see them formulating sentences and phrases. Kolbe has recently been telling me about how he would like a baby sister. The other night he decided to give me a lesson on the birds and the bees. K: Mommy if you just eat a lot then your stomach will grow and a baby will just come out!! Last week there was a salesman at our door trying to sell me on dry shampooing my carpet. He asked if he could come in and look at ... view the post
The Everyday Life
One of the things I try and hope to do on this blog is be authentic and real. Whether sharing my heart, our story or the ups and downs in this journey of life. Now as I am three months into this adventure of motherhood I think it's important to do the same. You may find yourself laughing or nodding your head, but hopefully in sharing it's a way to provide some camaraderie. Our Journey to Ghana (part 3)
Continuing with what has turned into a mini-series. If you missed the first two you can easily get caught up here and here. Meeting our sons for the first time is an experience and memory forever in my mind and heart. Beyond words and yet captured for all time in my heart to hold. I was nervous, anxious, excited, overwhelmed and full of hope and joy! I managed to hold back my tears as I hugged them for the first time and finally saw their most beautiful smiles. I will never forget their sweet little giggles as my husband blew bubbles for them to chase and catch. The next day we headed to the U.S. Embassy for ... view the post
Road Trip!
This past weekend we loaded up and headed west to visit my family. It was the first road trip for the boys and they did amazingly well sitting in the van for six hours. Although they kept telling us how long of a drive it was after we were only on the road for an hour! We spent almost the entire weekend outside and it's safe to say the boys love anything with wheels! This is now their preferred way of transportation. As a newbie at making the long drive with kiddos, I tried to be all strategic in my planning. I figured if they napped during the day they would fall asleep a little later in the van and we ... view the post
3 Under $30
I will try not to complain about the weather, but a week of 40 and rain has definitely left me wanting warmth and sun. I am excited to enjoy a few days in the 70s this weekend, which to me will feel like summer. ModCloth // 24.99 I love the bright colors in this shirt along with the vintage floral pattern. A go to tee. Everyday wear with jeans or pair with ankle pants and a cute heel. Gap // 29.95 Add a pop of color to any outfit with this wristlet that makes a statement and screams sunshine! Old Navy // 28.00 Almost all of the items I post in the 3 Under $30 series I do not own, although wouldn't mind adding to ... view the post
