I love the warm colors, sweet smells and crisp air of fall! Although, the way the weather acted last week I thought we would be welcoming winter (not welcomed at all) in October! Thankfully it straightened itself out and we are back up to a high of 75, well for at least a week anyways. Here are a few things that have caught my eye. And don't forget to layer! This great pencil skirt, with gorgeous colors and vintage flair. Easily transition as the temperature drops by adding tights, ankle or knee boots and a wool sweater. Target // ... view the post
Gone Nuts Granola!
Such a great homemade granola recipe, you won't even realize you are being crunchy! It's hearty and an essential for any peanut butter lover. So good I eat it for dessert, by the handful sans milk even. 3/4 Cup Peanut Butter (I use a natural one without added sugar) 1/4 Cup Coconut Oil 1/2 to 2/3 Cup Honey (I am usually closer to the 2/3 cup) 3 Cups Oats 1 1/2 Cup Wheat Germ 1/2 Cup Chopped Nuts (My go to is chopped walnuts) 1 tsp. Vanilla 1 Cup Raisins or other dried fruit Combine peanut butter, coconut oil and honey in small saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally until melted. Mix ... view the post
When You Are the Couple With No Kids
I think one of the more difficult things for couples suffering infertility is the constant reminder of what you don't have. None of it is done directly, but simply comes with the territory and is just part of the ache that continually stays in your heart. I feel lately I have been experiencing more of those reminders. As often as I get the question I am beginning to think I should have already come up with a generic answer ... view the post
Fall Preview
We have officially hit fall. Perhaps not on the calendar quite yet, but the temperature and air says otherwise. Not to mention that we have had our heat on the past two days! It seems so early, but I couldn't muster the courage to leave the house at 63 degrees and only watch it drop throughout the night. Brr!! So all in all, you could say it put me in the mood for fall! Of course that also means looking at some of the latest fall trends and colors. Here are a few collections I put together for a fall preview. Love these colors, adds richness and warmth to any wardrobe. A beautiful color for fall, yet ... view the post
On the Path…
One of the things I try to do here on my blog is to bring a little hope. I realize I do a fair amount of sharing my journey and the struggles encountered on the way, but the truth is every one of us is on a journey. Each on a different path. Each finding their way. What we hold in common is the joy, love and laughter we are met with as well as the struggles, trials and heartaches we will inevitably encounter at some point. Although this quote is far from any eloquence my own words can muster, I feel at some point we can all relate. At one point on the path or another we need strength and a reminder of hope so our ... view the post
