I realize it’s a bit early being we haven’t celebrated Thanksgiving yet, but I have already started my Christmas shopping and am over half way done. The last couple of years it has been my goal to have all of my gift buying done before Advent begins so I can use the season to really prepare without so many distractions.
With little ones going out to shop is no longer enjoyable and more penitential than anything, so I have done a lot of online shopping recently and in the process saved money by doing so. I can’t take the credit, because Aaron is the one who finds all of the online saving sites. He reminded me while writing this that you can use more than one site for a purchase.
I thought I would share a few in case you would rather stay in the warm comfort of your home where there are no lines or traffic, just a cup of hot coffee and the warmth of the fireplace.
Coupon codes. Some of the sites to visit to find a percent off or a free shipping code, retailmenot, coupons or groupon.
Dealnews is one among several sites to search to find some of the best deals around. Featuring everything from electronics to clothing to home goods.
Raise sells gift cards for stores at a discounted price. The savings varies from store to store and week to week. The gift cards can also be used in store as well as online.
Ebates allows you to earn cash back for your online purchases. The percent back is different for each site and also changes. At times they will offer promotions where all of their sites will have a set percent, last Valentine’s Day it was 14%.
Leaving you with a baby picture of the little man who is growing by leaps and bounds. He will have me buying some discounted baby clothes this weekend, because I am afraid what I bought him for Christmas will not come close to fitting as he has been enjoying his Thanksgiving meal a little early and often!
